Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.
I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.
But now he’s back.
I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.
Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.
One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.

My Thoughts on A Thousand Letters

When I read the blurb for A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart I knew I had to read it. I’ve not read anything from her before but there was just something about it that was calling to me.  After reading I will be an official Staci Hart stalker!!  Lol.  not really….  but I will be faithfully following her upcoming releases!!  I just loved it!!  A Thousand Letters is a must read! A HUGE 5 STAR READ that needs to be savored by all.  The words are just poetic.  There is no other way to put it.  I just loved every second of it.  And can we talk about the FEELS… oh lordy the feels and this book.  It will tug at every emotion. It will pull and rip and tear your heart out and then smile as it’s placed back together, piece by piece.

Elliott (yes she’s a girl) hasn’t’ seen Will for seven years. Now he’s return because his father is dying. Since he left, she has been just going through the motions of life. She followed part of her dream and got her degree only to become a nanny to her ungrateful and hateful sister. I seriously wanted to drop kick this woman! She was vile! Elliott does everything for her and she looks down on her like she is hired help instead of family. But because she loves her niece and nephew and knows if she was not around they would suffer at the hands of her sister she stays for them.  Will was the bright spot in her life so many years ago. They had dreams and aspirations. But one night changed it all.

Will has done what he can to stay away from home but now he has no choice but to return. He enlisted after high school and never looked back. He had nothing left for him at home so why come back.  When he receives news his Father is dying he must come home to face the demons of this past.  For years he worked on burying the pain of losing the one he loved and now he is face to face with her.  Is he ready to face her again? What happens when those emotions come to the surface?

Can Elliott and Will work through the past? Or has too much time past and the scars too deep? Can you have a second chance with your soulmate? You need to read A Thousand Letters to find out!!
