Finally, fifteen minutes after we said we’d meet, Logan Brantley walks into the tapas bar. Every curse word known to woman—and several I make up on the fly—flash through my brain.

This isn’t fair. Logan Brantley is even sexier when he’s not dressed in camo and carrying a big gun. More than one head swings in his direction. Women flip their hair and uncross and re-cross their legs as he steps up to the hostess stand.

A shaft of possessiveness lights up inside me, right along with nervous energy and my pounding heart. Back off, bitches. He’s not here for you.

I hear the low rumble of his deep drawl when he speaks to the hostess. She gestures in my direction, and he turns. Piercing blue eyes find me at the table where a lone water glass sits in front of me.

Liquid courage should definitely have been on the menu. Why didn’t I order a drink?

Because I’m an idiot. Because I thought I could handle this.

Now my heart is hammering so loud, my voice will probably be inaudible, or even worse—quaver when I speak.

Logan walks toward me with long, sure strides. He’s taller than I realized. And broader. And bigger. Everywhere. He’s wearing a black Henley that stretches across his chest, leaving no doubt of the fact that the man is built. And his jeans. Jesus. They’re worn and snug in all the right places.

The picture I found was clearly not recent, and it’s not just the fact that his brown hair is longer and shaggier. He’s one of those men who age well.

Logan stops in front of me when he reaches the tall bar table. He says nothing as his gaze drops to the toes of my boots and drags up every inch of my body.

“You’re a hard woman to find.”

My Thoughts on Read Good Man

They say opposites attract and that could not be more truer in Real Good Man.  Banner and Logan couldn’t be more different if they tried!! I love the author’s writing style and the story flowed effortlessly!  I’m a new reader to the author with this only being the second novel I’ve read from her but this just solidified that I will be forever stalker her! Real Good Man was sexy, witty, and everything I love in a good romance novel!  This is definitely one to read!

Banner is true New Yorker!  She is feisty, sassy, and says water is on her mind.  She doesn’t hold back and gives it to you as she sees it! She is probably one of my favorite female characters as her quick wit made me laugh out loud multiple times! Being a trust fund kid, she’s never had to worry about money until she has put everything into her own business trying to launch it and being fired from her regular day job.  She finds herself jobless and soon to be homeless but she is determined to get her business up and running.

Logan is the good ole boy from the South.  After a stint in the military he finds himself back in his hometown with his own shop.  Being a small town, he’s the town catch and every single female in a 30 mile radius will do what can do make him theirs.

Now you are probably wonder who a city girl and a county boy get mixed up together right?  When Banner’s friend uses a good Samarian’s phone, she didn’t know she would set a chain of events that would bring Banner and Logan together.  What started as harmless “Would a real man do this” type of text turns into something more and each are equally curious about other.   When they finally meet will one meeting be enough?

The turn of events will land them in a predicament that neither expected.  Real Good Man was so much more than I expected!  I would highly recommend this one that needs to be read! I just loved it!
