Now working as a dancer in an upscale club in Manhattan, Cam is brought face-to-face with the man she once loved. And it’s her turn to walk away from him.

Review: Ruin by Samantha Towle

My Thoughts…

I love second chance romances and Samantha Towle brings us a great one with Ruin!! What is not to love about a love story that was epic at one time only to be torn apart. Can time mend those old wounds and can love be better the second time around?  Can those feelings that you felt so many years ago stay simmering until they are exposed once again?  This is what Zeus and Cameron must face.  Their love story is a fairytale kind of whirlwind romance.  It was love at first sight and they seemed they would be together through thick and thin.  Zeus was a rising star in boxing and Cameron’s dream was to dance at Julliard.

Fast forward many years…  Cameron is on her own and working two jobs to support her and her daughter.  She still loves to dance but now it’s as a go-go dancer at a nightclub. She had proved that she doesn’t need anyone else to survive that she can be the mother and the father to her child.  Until she has an accidental run in with Zeus. She’s stopped following his career once their relationship came tumbling down.  Seeing him again she knows she needs to stay far from him. He did the unthinkable and she’s not about to allow him to come back into her life after all this time.

But Zeus is well, Zeus.  He’s determined and if he wants to go after something there’s no stopping him.  When he follows Cameron back to her house, he’s about to get more than he bargained for.  When he comes to face to face to a 4-year-old little girl, his whole world turns on its axis.   From what Cameron knew, he turned his back on her and their child.  When in reality he never knew.

What happens when Zeus sets his sights on getting his family back? Will the hurt feeling from so many years stop Cameron from trusting him again? What lengths will Zeus go to win Cameron back?  You will need to read Ruin to find out!!  I thought this was a solid 4 star and is a complete novel.
