He's a British rock star. And my stepbrother. What can go wrong?
He called himself Spider. I just knew him as the sinfully gorgeous guy with eyes of fire that fate sat next to me on the airplane. I didn’t know who he really was…rock star…my stepbrother.
He kissed me because he thought we’d never see each other again. We would.
Everyone warned me about him. They said he was ruthless and cold and screwed up.They said he’d leave me with a hole in my heart.
Maybe I should have listened.Maybe I should have built up a fortress to keep him out.But I crumbled instead.
Some have said there's an unbreakable thread that connects those who are destined to meet. If that’s true, then the moment he sat next to me, we were bound together forever.
He just had to figure it out before it’s too late…
Review: Spider by Ilsa Madden-Mills
I’ve been waiting years for this little ditty and I just was so excited to read it!!! We first met Spider way back when in Very Bad Things. He was British Bad Boy that was Nora’s sidekick and I was not disappointed! I just fell in love with this forbidden love story and couldn’t get enough of it! This is one I would highly recommend and could be read as a standalone. The story is told in two parts, past and present and is told in alterative points of views.
Spider was always a rebel. Being British and going to Prep School in Texas was never in his cards but when his dad shipped him off there was nothing he could do. He knew college was not in his cards and music was his passion. But so was the rock and roll lifestyle that goes with it.
Rose always had to fend for heself. She was in the foster care system until she was adopted by a single mother and was became the poster child for foster care success. She has her future already laid out by her foster mom. If only they were the same plans.
Rose and Spiders paths are about to collide in a big way!! Neither was looking for the other and when they met they knew they were in trouble! They are not supposed to be together. Can they accept the paths that are laid out of them or will they determine their own destiny? You need to read Spider to find out!!
