Her sense of normal is skewed at best, in love and life but, she is trying to recover with the help of her support system. She pines for a home and a love she can no longer have. A love she knows was wrong but still clings to and desires secretly.

Liam Lockwood stumbled across a photo in a magazine of his long forgotten brother causing buried secrets, heartache and obsession to bubble to the surface. When Liam sees something he wants, he takes it. He always has and this time will be no different despite his father's warning. Payback for a dark and broken childhood now has a name, Nora Robertson.

When Liam and Nora's paths collide everyone in their wake will be left stumbling when the truth reveals itself.

Attraction is not random.

When I saw this book was coming out I was very intrigued! The Tutor was so twisted and amazing and I was wondering how could Ms. Larsen follow that up??!!  I feel like she nailed it! I was sucked into Nora and Liam’s story and how they both struggle for normalcy after the events they both have experienced.  What starts out as curiosity and revenge turns into something neither one expected.  It’s a riveting tale that and dark romance lover must read!  This is told in dual points of views and I would recommend reading The Tutor before reading The Brother but I do believe this can be read as a standalone if you really needed to.

Nora is still dealing with the trauma that Holden inflicted on her. Even though time has passed, she is still under his spell. She is working on moving past it but normal intimacy is not for her.  She has to meet strangers on Craigslist and even with that, something is missing.  It’s like she’s going through the motions of life just existing.  She is looking for the one person that can make her fell again.

Liam see’s Nora’s story on the cover of magazine at the grocery store. Since that moment he was intrigued by her. He knew he must know everything about her.  He see’s her as someone that was connected to his brother Holden and now he has way of finding a connection to him.  What starts out as curiosity turns into full stalking and Liam is consumed by Nora. He must get closer to her, he believes he can get back at Holden for abandoning him all those years ago. He will have her, its just a matter of time.

I did not expect the story to play out as it did and I would thoroughly intrigued and engulfed in the story! I didn’t want to like Liam, I really didn’t!  But he had a way to sneaking into my heart! I want Nora to be happy, she’s been through so much and even though their story isn’t the norm, I wanted them both to be happy. I wanted them to find their way in the dark and just maybe they could find themselves as well!  This is one you need to read!
