Irresistible attraction. Unimaginable danger.

I knew from the moment Noah Williamson walked into the diner that he was haunted—deeply haunted—but I couldn’t resist the lure of him. He was gorgeous and fascinating and mysterious, and like a delicate moth to a brilliant blue flame, I was drawn to him. Drawn to his fire.

But if I’d known about his job, about what happened to his wife, I’d have run the other way. Before I got caught up in the red-hot blaze of his life. Before everything in my world got burned to the ground.

It’s too late to run now. I hesitated and that was it. I fell. I fell for him before I knew there was danger in loving him.

Noah once told me that this is the way we burn—together or not at all. At the time, I didn’t know what that meant.

Now I do.

**The Way We Burn is a love story…with a kicker! Suspense, chemistry, and twists galore, I can’t wait for you to jump in! But don’t be afraid. This is a stand alone VERY romantic story with a VERY satisfying ending. I promise:) xoxo M**

Review: The Way We Burn by Michelle Leighton

My Thoughts…

This book… I so didn’t expect the story to unfold how it did!  When I read I book I like to go in blind. I skim over blurbs so when I read I’m surprised on how things are unfolding.  The Way We Burn was so unexpected!! I LOVED IT! At first I was like ok Michelle… where are we going with this??? My mind was spinning trying to figure out how things were going to go and in the end I was left speechless! I would have never guessed this in a million years! I love books like this!!  This was such a great story and Ms Leighton did a fabulous job giving us little morsels and clues I just couldn’t get enough of it!

Noah is an FBI agent that recently experienced a devastating loss of both his daughter and wife.  Being relocated to a new city he finds himself in a diner frequently where a waitress how finally brought some sunshine to his days. He finds himself there most days just to sit in her section.  He doesn’t try to ask her out, he is just captivated by her and with a dark cloud still hanging over him, he isn’t ready to make a move just yet.

Poppy has noticed the same guy sitting in her section day after day.  He’s got that whole sexy and mysterious vibe going on. After awhile they finally break the ice and Noah start a relationship. She feels a strong pull to him but he is holding back.  He will walk her home and they’ll have dinner but it seems to not go past that until finally he lets her in.  But with Poppy not all is what it seems.

What is Noah hiding from Poppy??  What secrets are there between them??  The suspense factor is off the charts and I hate to say more because this book just needs to be read!  The twists and turns will leave you thinking that was brilliant!! It did for me!!
