Two authors. Obsessed with the idea of love. . .what could possibly go wrong?

Marisa
This should be a love story. Everything's in place for it to be. The perfect lines, the perfect souls, but you see, Justin thinks it's a game. He thinks I'm his pawn, but he couldn't be more wrong. Every move he makes, I'll block him. Every time he thinks he's about to seize me, I'll run. Some men underestimate the power of the queen because they're too busy playing king. They forget she's the most powerful piece on the board. And love is not a game I'm apt at losing.
What will it take for him to realize I'll never be his pawn, but I'll happily play his queen.

Justin
She wants a love story. And while I've set it up just like I do my stories, it's not love I'm after, it's the chase. Marisa thinks she can outplay me. Even though I'm always one step ahead of her, she keeps me on my toes, which is why I don't underestimate her. Not one bit, but it seems she forgets the game's not over until the king is dead.
And she'll never kill me, because I'll make her love me. And then. . .checkmate. I win.
Love is not a game, but the chase certainly is.

Review: White Pawn by Stevie J Cole

My Thoughts…

Holy Cannoli… where do I start!!! First off I’m kicking myself for not picking up a Stevie J Cole book sooner!! What the hell took me so long??!!! I have no clue!!!  I’m convinced she writes just to please my black heart!! I am seriously wondering where she’s been all my life???!!!  I will be forever faithful and cannot wait to go back and read some of Ms Cole’s other books I’ve missed! White Pawn was so crazy good.  It’s every deep dark secret fantasy you ever had come to life! It was just plain CRAZY! But holy cow I loved every second of it! Marissa was straight off the crazy train but there is a little crazy in all of us when we fall in love and Marissa just did what everyone fantasizes about.

Marissa fell in love with Justin Wild the minute she read his books. She made it her mission to have him fall in love with her.  He just didn’t know it yet.  She would put a plan in motion that would bring their paths together and there was no way he wasn’t going to love her. She knew his type, what he liked, want he didn’t like.  She would be perfect for him.

One little problem, he was the biggest player out there. Justin Wild wasn’t just a best selling author with looks to kill for but he was known as the biggest playboy in the book world.  When he met Marissa he instantly feel for her. She was perfect. It was like they were made for each other as they liked the same things, the same music, the same books.  They start a romance and things go from hot to heavy fast and holy hotness! It’s HOT!

But what happens when flings from the past come back looking for more good times with Justin. Will Marissa be able to tame the beast that is Justin Wild or is the beast within her own mind?  Jealousy is an evil wench and to what lengths ill Marissa go to keep Justin to herself.  You need to read White Pawn to find out!!  A little side note.  There were several things in the book that made me think, did this actually happen in real life??   There were some scenarios that I was like I so remember hearing about something like this…   it made me stop and think how much is reality and how much is fiction????
